Wind mitigation inspection, the state form that records how your home is built to resist wind
Florida has one form for this, the Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection Form, OIR-B1-1802. Insurance companies use it to decide which wind mitigation credits a home qualifies for.
We inspect the home, take the photographs the form asks for, and complete and sign it. What the form shows decides the credits, and that decision belongs to the insurance company.
4-point inspection, the condition of the roof, electrical, plumbing and HVAC
Insurance companies usually ask for a 4-point when you’re changing from one insurance company to another. The new company wants the report before it writes the coverage.
The report records the age and condition of those four systems, with photographs. We report what’s there.
Full home inspections, available on request
We also perform full home inspections when you need one. A home inspection covers eight areas of the home. Anything outside those eight is a separate inspection by a qualified contractor or inspector.
We inspect. We don’t repair.
We don’t perform or offer repairs on a home we’ve inspected. Nothing in a report of ours is there to sell you a repair.
